How to Reach Nainital from Pilibhit


The nearest railway station to Nainital is Kathgodam which is based at a distance of 35 km from Nainital. From Pilibhit there are two major trains Nainital Exp (15307) and Gokul Express (15316) which travels daily to Bareilly at a nominal fare of Rs 73. From Bareilly there is good connectivity with Kathgodam with several trains at regular intervals. From Kathgodam to Nainital the taxi fare is around Rs 600.

There is also an option of travelling through cab hire or by bus at regular intervals from Pilibhit to Nainital. The buses are available daily in the morning and in the evening and the bus fares vary between Rs 100 to 300 depending on the bus type. However there is availability of non ac, ac, and Volvo and sleeper class buses.

Dudhwa National Park


By simply uttering the name Dudhwa, the only thing that comes in mind is the adventurous land of royal tigers. Dudhwa Tiger Reserve located in Lakhimpur-Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh is one of the best exploratory wildlife destinations from Pilibhit. The Dudhwa Railway station is the nearest railhead to the National park situated in the heart of the park at a distance of 4km from tourist complex. Two major trains travelling from Pilibhit to Dudhwa are Gokul Express and Gonda Bareilly Passenger. While the first train takes a time 2hrs 53 mins the latter reaches Dudhwa in 4hrs 42 mins.

The road connectivity is also quite good between Pilibhit and Dudhwa National Park. There are frequent UPSRTC and private buses travelling between Palia to Dudhwa and even from Pilibhit to Palia.

Moradabad


Moradabad also named as the “City of Brass” is the hub of brass industry in the country. Based in Uttar Pradesh, the city has its roots which go back to 1600 when son of Shah Jahan, Prince Murad, established the city. A gamut of attractions waits in Moradabad for its visitors. There are multiple trains from Pilibhit Junction railway station to Bareilly Junction and from Bareilly there are many options to reach Moradabad. Some of these trains are BSB Express, Bareilly Express, HW ALD express and the train fares are around Rs 300 per person.

One can also travel Moradabad by bus, since there are plenty of UPSRTC buses leaving everyday at a gap of few hours from Bareilly to Moradabad. However, in that case one needs to go to Bareilly from Pilibhit by trains or state buses.

Aligarh

One can however take a cab or a private bus to reach from Pilibhit to Bareilly. Trains from Bareilly to Aligarh Junction are Bareilly Express, Nilachal Express and others with a nominal fare of Rs 135. The time taken to reach from Bareilly to Aligarh Junction is 4 hrs 15 mins. The time can be around 11 hrs if travelled to Pilibhit again by connecting trains.

There are bus routes from Pilibhit to Aligarh with excellent road connectivity. There are UP Roadways bus from Pilibhit to Aligarh leaving around 4am and reaches at 11pm everyday with a nominal fare of Rs 300.

Ranikhet


“Queen’s Meadow” or Ranikhet is a panoramic location of scenic excellence in Almora district. It is believed that this was the beautiful location that mesmerized queen of Kumaon region and therefore her husband built a palace here and named the same as Ranikhet. The topmost tourist attractions here are the holy shrines of Binasar Mahadev and Jhula Devi temple. The nearest railhead to Ranikhet is Kathgodam from where one can take state buses to reach Ranikhet. Kathgodam can be reached by connecting trains from Pilibhit to Bareilly and then to Kathgodam in a journey time of 6 hrs 40 mins. There are government buses from Pilibhit and Bareilly that travels to Haldwani Bus station at regular timings from where connecting bus services are present to Ranikhet.

Gangotri


Gangotri is one of the famous pilgrimage centre situated at the banks of River Bhagirathi at an altitude of 3750m at the Uttarkashi district of Uttarkhand. The nearest railhead from Gangotri is Rishikesh station at a distance of 250 km away. From Pilibhit one has to travel to Bareilly Junction from where there are trains to Rishikesh station everyday of the week. From Rishikesh there are state transport buses to Gangotri which takes around 5 hrs 25mins to reach the destinations. However one can also take private cars to reach Gangotri.

Haridwar

Regular trains are BSB DDN Express and Doon Express. There are state transport buses that travel from Tanakpur to Haridwar and from Tanakpur there are frequent trains to Pilibhit Junction Railway station.

There are three trains running from Pilibhit everyday to Lucknow and they are Gokul Express (15316), Nainital Express (15317) and TPU ASH Express (52228). The time taken for the travel is almost 6 hrs. The ticket price is around Rs 153. For bus ride one can opt for State Transport a bus from Bareilly which are available daily and reaches Lucknow in 5hr 40 mins. The bus fare is around Rs 450. However, in the latter case one has to travel from Pilibhit to Bareilly either by local bus or train.

Agra

These all are popular tourist places and falls within the geographical limits of 300 km from Pilibhit.
