However, down the years the gurudwara was losing out on its usual charm due to lack of maintenance and proper care. In 1983, a very famous social servant of the area recognized the need of repairing the Gurudwara, the result of which it is transferred to a beautiful shrine today. It is the efforts of the social servant who is popularly called as Sri Baba Faoj Singh.
